HoopRelief was my first project as a freelancer and it was a voluntary project. I came back to Europe after traveling in South America and I met Lucia Klimačková, who had a vision to help children living in conflict zones.
Lucia asked me to help her formulate a marketing strategy for HoopRelief and create a crowdfunding campaign and raise funds for the first project that took place in the West Bank.
Deliverables for Hooprelief:
- Digital Marketing Plan
- Crowdfunding campaing on Indiegogo – we raised $3,836 USD by 68 backers
- Development of different tools, e.g. Blog posts, Social media posts
- Ambassador Plan to engage with ambassadors in different countries
Lucia’s testimonial: “Silvia was one of the co-organizers of HoopRelief project. She was in charge of the digital marketing plan, social media channels and a crowdfunding campaign where we raised 4000 USD and we sent three volutneers to play hula hoop with kids in the conflict zone.”
After the first project in the West Bank, the project continued with the second edition of HoopRelief in Palestine and also HoopRelief in Uganda. I’m happy for this opportunity and the results of the project. It was a great and a useful project that made me take a leap into the freelance world.
